Filled up in Iola, Ks- about 100 mi south of Overland park on hwy 169.; yesterday. I watched this big thunderhead and two others explode in the distance. The were headed east fast and the small cloud at the bottom shot lightening for several mintes before it went green. Thats when I grabbed the camera- This photo was taken near the end of the storm-only a few minutes after I noticed it growing. Local law enforcement later reported that it had dropped hail about 1.75inches in diameter. COOL!
